About Carbon Day
Since its initial Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) installations, Carbon Day has set up over 100+ charging stations and this number is growing daily. These intelligently networked charging stations are located at private and public sites throughout the Chicago area.  These sites include 22 stations at 11 Interpark garages downtown, featuring two at the 900 N. Michigan Ave. building and four in the Park Huron apartment building garage- known for its environmentally friendly construction certification.  The owners of the charging stations determine the pricing and set it in real time, with the majority of the owners offering electricity for free until more vehicles hit the road.

The Chicago area could be home to 950 electric charging stations this year,
and according to a forecast by Pike Research, a Boulder, CO -based clean technology consulting and analyst firm, as more electric and hybrid cars hit the road, Chicago could play host to as many as 2,600 charging stations
in 2012.
